Ο George Ezra Barnett μας έρχεται από την Αγγλία, διαθέτει μια υπέροχη και χαρακτηριστική φωνή και έχει ήδη στο ενεργητικό του δύο EPs και ένα ντεμπούτο album που κυκλοφόρησε το 2014, φτάνοντας στο #1 στο UK Album Chart.

Πριν λίγο καιρό ανακοίνωσε την κυκλοφορία του δεύτερου album του με τίτλο Staying At Tamara’s, παρουσιάζοντας ταυτόχρονα τα πρώτα δείγματα μέσα από αυτό. Τον τίτλο του νέου project τον εμπνεύστηκε από την περίοδο της ζωής του στην Βαρκελώνη, όπου έμεινε σε ένα διαμέρισμα του οποίου η ιδιοκτήτρια ονομαζόταν Tamara. Όλο το album το αφιερώνει στην κοπέλα του και εστιάζει στα συναισθήματα του κατά την διάρκεια των πρώτων ημερών της σχέσης τους.
Σχετικά με το νέο του track και project που κυκλοφορεί 23 Μαρτίου δήλωσε:
Instead of a particular story it’s more of a feeling that takes over when you’ve fallen in love which is just quite heady, isn’t it.
We live in abundance of comfort, there’s not a war in our country, there’s not rations.
It’s less about going somewhere extreme. I don’t need to be left for dead in the desert in order to be able to write a song. But I live in a flat that has glass doors from the bedroom to the lounge, so I finish watching whatever shit tv I’m watching at night, and wake up and try and work on the same sofa. There has to be an element of showmanship and a poetic element.
In the studio we tried to give ourselves strict working times, and rest times. I love those stories of Keith Richards being like ‘Oh you know, I just sit there until 4 in the morning until the song finally comes’ but I just think ‘Alright Keith mate, I wish I could say the same but I just wanna be asleep!’.
