‘On The Basis of Sex’ Soundtrack // Δείτε το νέο video της Kesha

H αγαπημένη μας Kesha επέστρεψε δυναμικά το 2017 με το album Rainbow. Πέρυσι συμμετείχε στο soundtrack The Greatest Showman, τραγουδώντας την δική της εκτέλεση του This is Me. Φέτος παρουσίασε το δικό της ντοκιμαντέρ:

Η ακτιβίστρια Kesha όμως μας παρουσιάζει παράλληλα ένα νέο τραγούδι, με τίτλο Here Comes the Change. Πρόκειται για μια δυνατή ακουστική μπαλάντα, η οποία ακούγεται στην ταινία On the Basis of Sex. Η ταινία είναι μια αληθινή ιστορία, θα βγει στις αίθουσες τα Χριστούγεννα, με πρωταγωνίστρια την Felicity Jones ερμηνεύοντας την Ruth Bader Ginsburg και είναι σκηνοθεσίας Mimi Leder. Η σκηνοθέτιδα της ταινίας δήλωσε:

I wanted her to write this song because her passionate voice and immense talent magnify the social justice imperatives Ruth Bader Ginsburg continues to fight for every day. It was important to both of us that this song be not only an anthem to all that Ruth Bader Ginsburg achieved, but also a rallying cry for how much more change is yet to come.

Το νέο τραγούδι της Kesha είναι ειδικά γραμμένο για την ταινία, από την ίδια και τους Drew Pearson και Stephen Wrabel. H Kesha δήλωσε για το νέο της τραγούδι:

I wanted to explore the legacy of political activists in our country throughout the years who have fought for equality and positive change. The message is that the long, proud tradition of American social activism is alive and well. It’s being passed on to the next generation. It will continue to evolve one success at a time, and is as important as ever. Together we can prove to our leaders and the rest of the world that we will not tolerate challenges to equality and freedom in our country.
