H Grace Martine Tandon ή κατά κόσμον Daya, γεννήθηκε στο Pittsburgh της Pennsylvania το 1998. Το ονομά της προέρχεται από την Σανσκριτική γλώσσα και σημαίνει ευγένεια.
Στο ενεργητικό της έχει μεγάλες επιτυχίες όπως το “Hide Away”-top 10 στην Αμερική-αλλά εμείς την γνωρίσαμε καλύτερα μέσα από την συνεργασία της με τους Chainsmokers στο “Don’t Let Me Down”.
Το 2016 κυκλοφόρησε το ντεμπούτο album της με τίτλο ‘Sit Still, Look Pretty.‘
To 2017 υπέγραψε με την Interscope Records και πρώτη της κυκλοφορία από εκεί ήταν το New, στου οποίου την παραγωγή συμμετείχαν οι Stargate:

I feel like “New” really is an all-encompassing term for what’s happening in my career right now. It’s a new beginning for me — and I don’t think people will be like, ‘Oh, she’s changed. She’s different.’ I think they’ll be expecting to come along with me on this journey, and they’ll realize that people do change. We’re all humans, we all go through phases.
I’ve just gained so much confidence in the booth since the Sit Still Look Pretty era. I’m working with really talented producers and songwriters who bring out the best in me. This song doesn’t really beat around the bush. It just tells you that I was hurt by this person and that I’m missing him. All of these emotions are kind of pouring out of this new song, and I think this new era is gonna represent just a more raw, real me.
Το 2018 η Daya κυκλοφόρησε το Safe:
Πριν λίγο καιρό κυκλοφόρησε το video του trance-pop single της με τίτλο Insomnia, που προσωπικά το λάτρεψα. Η ταλαντούχα Daya δήλωσε σχετικά:
‘Insomnia’ at its core is a gritty club pop anthem about missing the person you love. So it felt appropriate to take the visuals in a rave direction in a grimy abandoned warehouse that feels like something you’d stumble into at 3am in Berlin to temporarily neglect whatever pain you’re feeling.
