Μετά από ένα teaser στην σελίδα τους στο Facebook, οι U2 κυκλοφόρησαν επιτέλους νέο τραγούδι. Δεν πρόκειται για το πρώτο single αλλά για το πρώτο δείγμα μέσα από το πολυαναμενόμενο album τους νούμερο 14!

Το νέο τους project θα έχει τον τίτλο “Songs of Experience” και το καινούριο τραγούδι που μόλις κυκλοφόρησε έχει τον τίτλο ‘The Blackout.’ Το πρώτο official single του νέου album θα είναι το ‘You’re The Best Thing About Me’ και θα κυκλοφορήσει 6 Σεπτεμβρίου. Το νέο project κυκλοφορεί 1/12/2017. Ο Adam Clayton δήλωσε σχετικά για αυτό:
Once the election had happened we didn’t want to put out a record without having some time to evaluate what was going on and what was behind the outcome, and certainly that wave of change seemed to be moving through Europe as well, so we did say ‘Let’s reexamine where we are,’ and we did reexamine and I think it’s been better for the record and it’s been better for the songwriting and it’s much more on-message of what U2 does and what U2 does well. [“Songs of Experience”] has been ready to go for awhile, because it didn’t require a lot of surgery, so to speak — it was a little bit of cosmetic surgery.
Ανυπομονούμε για το τελικό αποτέλεσμα λοιπόν και απολαμβάνουμε το πρώτο δείγμα μέσα από τη νέα δουλειά των θρυλικών U2!
6/9 κυκλοφόρησε το lyric video του πρώτου official single με τίτλο ‘You’re The Best Thing About Me,’ καθώς και μια διαφορετική version από KYGO!

1/11/2017 κυκλοφόρησε άλλο ένα τραγούδι μέσα από το πολυαναμενόμενο νέο project των U2 και παρουσιάστηκε το album cover και το tracklist. Υπομονή μέχρι 1η Δεκεμβρίου λοιπόν!
